What are the pre-requisites for using an SSL Certificate on my domain?

SSL certificates can only be used on registered domains. In order to use an SSL, you need:

- An active hosting account. 
- A CSR generated on your web server with the correct domain/common name. 
- Correct contact information on WHOIS record for the domain.
- Business validation documents (not necessary for domain validated certificates).
