Can you please tell me where I can find the log files for www.mydomain.com as a root?

On cPanel servers all access logs are located inside the /usr/local/apache/domlogs/ directory, so in your case full path will be /usr/local/apache/domlogs/yourdomain.com

Error log can be found at /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log
