<note tip>By default GD is enabled in cPanel servers we deploy. This mainly applies to older servers and/or those who may have reverted to a stock EasyApache build.</note>

In default cPanel/WHM installation GD support in PHP is disabled. You can enable using the following simple steps:

Login to WHM as root;

Go to WHM » EasyApache

Click on the "Load Previous Config" button (if exists)

Select "GD" option and any other PHP option you may need

Click "Start to build" button at the bottom of the screen and wait 15-30 minutes.
After that PHP will be automatically recompiled with GD (and any other enabled option) support.
